Full Scale Exercise March 14th

Good Afternoon North Dakota Wing:

I am happy to announce that a full scale exercise will be happening in Fargo on the 14th of March 2015. This is our only chance that we are going to have to get ready for the Air Force Evaluated Exercise that will be occurring in April (with more information to come) on a wing level.

To give you some information on this exercise:

Date: 14MAR2015

Time: 0800-1600CST*

Breakdown of Events:

–        In processing 0800-0830CDT

–        Operations Briefings- 0830-0900CDT

–        Beginning of Morning Sorties- 0900CDT

–        Finishing of sorties- Approx. 1500CDT

–        Hotwash/Review: Approx. 1500-1530CDT

–        Demobilization/Send Home- 1530-1600CDT

What: there will be sorties involving Homeland Security, Search and Rescue, and Disaster Relief. On the ground operations side there will be a Search and Rescue as well as a Disaster Relief emphasis. Air sorties will have tasking in Homeland Security, Disaster Relief, and Search and Rescue.

Location: The Old Terminal in Fargo, ND. The Old Terminal is located at 1756 23rd Ave. North, Fargo, ND 58102

–        Directions from Interstate 29:

o   Get off of the interstate at 19th Ave. N.

o   Proceed East on 19th Ave. N until you reach the Fargo Air Museum and turn left on 16th St. North.

o   Proceed North on 16th St. N and make the 90 degree turn onto 23rd Ave. N which will take you to the parking lot in front of the Old Terminal

–        Air Operations: Aircraft will land in Fargo and proceed to the Jet Center where they will fuel. After the aircraft have fueled they can taxi down to the Old Terminal and make a call to 701.526.8681 to get access into the Old Terminal from the Ramp.

Check-In Procedures:

–        All personnel will checkin upon arrival with the Staging Area Manager who will take in all of their information. All receipts for the arrival sortie must be turned in at this time and a computer will be made available to drivers/pilots to upload their information into WMIRS.

Food: Food will not be provided. Due to the nature of this exercise it would be advantageous for all members to pack their meal for lunch and bring it with them. For ground teams this is a must since they will not have the opportunity to get lunch anywhere.

REQUIRED FORMS: In order to participate with this exercise one would need to bring their

  • CAPF101 (from eservices),
  • CAPF160 Health History and Authorizations Form (CADET ONLY/ADULT OPTIONAL)
  • CAPF 161 Emergency Information
  • CAPF 163   (CADET ONLY) (OTC Authorization i.e. Neosporin in the event of a minor injury)
  • CAPF 32 (CADET ONLY) (Cadet Activity Permission Form).

If you do not provide these forms that are requested you will not be able to participate.

Equipment you will need: to participate in the event as a ground team member you should have with you your 24 Hour Pack (you will find some suggestions for those attached), if you are an aircrew you will need all of those things that you would typically have with you for an ES mission with the same going for a Mission Staff member. Ensure that you are packing for the elements.
